MG Beta Glucan - 3 mg
The original and still the best - MG Beta Glucan! Purified MG Beta 1,3/1,6 Glucan processed by U.S. Patent 6,476,003 claims issued to co-inventors Kenneth W. Hunter, Jr. and Frank Jordan, is a powerful, proven and safe natural nutritional immune response booster. The MG Beta Glucan in IMMUNITION NSC-24™ Beta Glucan Original Formula is micronized to an extremely small particle size as a microparticulate, to provide greater absorption and saturation on ingestion by the macrophages, the primary white immune cells that provide the body's natural defenses to ill-health invaders.
A recent peer-reviewed article in "Letters in Applied Microbiology" concludes nonaggregated microparticulate beta glucan (MG glucan) in small mg doses has "superior immune potentiation characteristics." The greater saturation of nonaggregated microparticulate NSC-24 MG Beta Glucan into the immune system optimizes the immune cells in the body to enhanced readiness, yielding in most instances a faster response and effectiveness in nutritionally enabling the body to nutritionally maintain or fight back to wellness - particularly as we age .
Beta Glucan is a purified isolate from yeast cell wall containing no harmful yeast proteins that could cause unwanted yeast reactions. The Beta Glucan in NSC-24 also is a powerful “adjuvant,” or substance that makes other formulations, including antibiotics, more effective in smaller doses when ingested together (see research at www.betaglucan.org) .
The MG Beta Glucan in the IMMUNITION NSC-24 Beta Glucan Original Formula in 3 mg capsules performs as an enhanced antioxidant so essential in conquering damaging free radicals that cause cell, artery and tissue damage. Beta 1,3/1,6 Glucan is proven by extensive research to be a non-toxic and non-specific composition. And now the filler is a potent and safe prebiotic - inulin - instead of less effective substances.
Large milligram dosages of roughage competitor’ globular glucans pass through your body practically unabsorbed. Go with the science and buy only the best for nutritional support of a quality and extended life by potentiating the immune response to an enhanced ability to fight back against the multitude of daily assaults on our bodies. Only the best is good enough and the very best is IMMUNITION NSC-24 Beta Glucan Original Formula.

Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement take 1-2 capsules per day.
NSC continues to provide only the best in ingredients and inulin from chicory as the selected filler in NSC IMMUNITION products fulfills that tradition. Inulin is nutritionally beneficial:
- as a Prebiotic and Bifidus promoter for good intestinal flora,
- as a sugar replacement with a similar sweet taste,
- to enhance calcium and magnesium absorption,
- for fat replacement and metabolism enhancement and
- as a low calorie bulking agent approved by the FDA as a food ingredient - not as an additive.
NSC 24 and NSC 100 capsules contain a total of approximately 200 mg of ingredients, meaning approximately 197 mg of inulin is present in each NSC-24 capsule with 3 mg of MG Beta Glucan and approximately 190 milligrams of inulin are present in each NSC 100 capsule with 10 mg of MG Beta Glucan. Varying amounts of inulin are present in other NSC IMMUNITION products, depending on the total volume of other ingredients in each NSC IMMUNITION product. Contrary to some erroneous competitor claims, Inulin (not Maltodextrin) has been the filler substance since 2003 in NSC IMMUNITION products.
Inulin is a prebiotic classified as an indigestible carbohydrate; unlike probiotics that are living microorganisms. As a prebiotic, Inulin stimulates the growth of friendly and healthy intestinal bacteria which supports good colon health. Inulin is suitable for many people who are on restricted diets, particularly related to prediabetic or diabetic conditions since inulin also has:
- a very low glycemic index,
- a mildly sweet taste;
- is filling for satiety (fullness) similar to starchy foods;
- is not absorbed; and
- does not affect blood sugar levels.
Because inulin's taste is comparable to sugar, it can be used as a sugar replacer. Inulin is considered safe to eat, but must be declared on ingredient labels if used in processed foods. Use of inulin and oligofructose is believed to provide increased calcium and magnesium absorption, and may improve fat metabolism and function of the gastrointestinal tract.
Because of its presumed health benefits, inulin is used as a food ingredient in a variety of processed foods. A fructan and storage carbohydrate, inulin, belongs to a group of naturally-occurring carbohydrates containing the non-digestible fructooligosaccharides. The nutrition industry refers to them as FOS. Inulin is metabolized in a manner similar to soluble, dietary fiber. Inulin resists digestion in the upper gastrointestinal tract and is fermented by microflora in the large intestine. For that reason, inulin provides most of the same positive effects of soluble fiber in the diet.
The Food and Drug Administration classifies inulin and oligofructose as food ingredients, not as additives. Inulin is derived from chicory roots as in NSC IMMUNITION products and other natural sources of inulin such as wheat, barley and artichoke. In fact, Inulin is a natural storage carbohydrate found in more than 36,000 types of plants worldwide, including numerous edible plant species such as chicory, artichoke, leek, onion, asparagus, wheat, barley, rye, garlic, and bananas. Amazingly, estimates are approximately one-third of the earth's vegetation contain inulin.
The inulin from chicory in NSC IMMUNITION products is from the Mediterranean herb (Cichorium intybus) naturalized in North America. Chicory is extensively grown in Europe for its root, which is roasted and powdered and used as a coffee substitute. There have been no known reports of allergic reactions to inulin derived from chicory and used in NSC IMMUNITION products. There have been very rare reports of allergic reactions alleged but not confirmed for inulin sourced from artichokes or wheat/barley sources - the latter gluten related, but we emphasize these sources are not used for the inulin in NSC IMMUNITION products.
